ENTRY FORMS AVAILABLE AT THE TWEED GALLERY WEBSITE
The Border Art Prize is held at Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre every second year and will be featured again from 25 May to 15 July 2018. The Prize supports the endeavours of artists living and working in the NSW North Coast and South Eastern Queensland. Open to all media and subject matter, the Border Art Prize attracts a wide variety of styles from both well-known and emerging artists, reflecting the region’s lively artistic community.
Artists living within the Tweed Shire, Gold Coast City, Ballina, Byron and Kyogle Shires and Lismore City Council areas are eligible to enter the Prize. Artworks may be in any media, genre and style, as long as they satisfy size, weight and display restrictions. From 2000-2016 the Border Art Prize was run as a joint initiative with Gold Coast City Gallery and welcomed entries from artists from the Tweed Shire, Gold Coast City and surrounding shires. In 2017 Gold Coast City Gallery withdrew from the Prize to concentrate on building their new cultural precinct. The Prize continues to be held at Tweed Regional Gallery every second year and invites entries from artists in the Tweed and surrounding shires.
The 2018 Border Art Prize entry form will be available in February 2018.
