Bentley Art Prize

The Bentley Art Prize is a community event that gives little known artists the opportunity to display their work. The Art Pprize began in 1985 in the Bentley Public Hall. The Prize was held during the Bentley Hall’s 50th anniversary.
The first Art Prize gathered 70 entries from all over the district. From humble beginnings the Art Prize has grown to where over 700 entries are accepted from as far as Bathurst in the south and Toowoomba in the north. The Art Prize is held on the first weekend in August each year.

Two major sponsors play a big part in the Bentley Art Prize. They are Tursa Employment and Training and Casino RSM Club. Both contribute $1,000 each for two classes. They are the Tursa Open Painting Prize and the Casino RSM Club Acquisition Prize. The Northern Star are also a major sponsor. Along with other sponsors a total of $8,000 is on offer for the event.
All proceeds from the Art Prize go to the upkeep of the Bentley Public Hall plus a nominated charity.
Entry forms are now available online.
